Soxx & the Blue Genes. “If the album had been done without genuine care and sincerity, there would have been no audience for it. Instead, when it was finally completed, it was a feast of cool and mawkish, a hipster’s way of appreciating the seasonal standards that had become stale and depressing for a burgeoning generation of young adults” (Mark Ribowsky, He’s a Rebel, 1989).
