28 Robert Johnson (1911-1938) “Love in Vain” 1937
“…all parties agree: He loved whiskey and women.” Johnson probably died
of bad liquor poisoning (Graves, Crossroads). His 1936-1937 recordings are listed on the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress.
