43 The Ink Spots “If I Didn't Care” 1939

A popular quartet in the ‘30s and ‘40s. Lead tenor Jerry Daniels (1915-1995) became ill and was replaced by Bill Kenny (1914-1978), whose smooth falsetto made the song a major hit. The Ink Spots performed “If I Didn’t Care” in the 1941 film, “The Great American Broadcast” (The Encyclopedia of Popular Music). Listed on the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress.
